Winemaker Alison Crowe works with grape growers along the byways generally south of Monterey to make this affordable, approachable Pinot Noir.  It comes in on the lighter side of California Pinot Noirs; smooth and fruity on the palate. The emu on the label is an allusion to the winemaker's sustainable philosophy as well as the occasional emu farm found in the area.
